Gerber's Starting Solids: A Healthy Feeding Plan

This is a handout I have been giving to my parents when their baby is ready to start solid foods between 4 to 6 months of age. It is from Gerber and has information on when baby is ready for solids, how to give it, and when he or she is ready for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd foods.

For the Gerber web page introducing solid foods click here: Your Baby's First Solid Food.

What if my child is not talking yet?

I found this handout while reading Contemporary Pediatrics and thought it was a great source of information for children who should be talking but isn't yet. Make sure you bring this up with your pediatrician since speech delay can be treated with speech therapy (which is free in the State of Hawaii through Early Intervention) and may be a sign of hearing loss.

Humidifier Training Sheet

This is a training sheet for Crane humidifiers. It explains the differences between warm and cool mist humidifiers, and tips on using them.
